Our second full day in Ireland saw Mary enjoying the opulence of the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel while I took the camera for a walk around Killiney Hill where I marveled at the volume of rock that was quarried to create the Dún Laoghaire piers- visible from the former quarry where people now enjoy rock climbing. After meeting up with Mary it was another DART ride out to Greystones where we met up with Dermot and his family. After an aborted effort to visit a dolmen, Dermot whisked us back to Dalkey in time for us (me) to watch the US Woman's National Team win their fourth World Cup from the Dalkey Duck pub. Mary and I then wlked The Metals (former rail line) into Dún Laoghaire where we had a bite to eat and then an evening walk out on the pier before hiking back to the Castle.
